The firm’s client base includes subsidiaries of global businesses, local authorities, charities, SMEs in numerous sectors and senior executives. 

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an employment law Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience to join our specialist employment and business immigration law firm in the heart of Southampton. The successful candidate will work on a diverse range of employment law and business immigration matters for a range of mainly employer clients.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2 or more years PQE (or equivalent)
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK employment law and practice, with experience of handling both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
  • Knowledge of business immigration law and practice is desirable but not essential
  • Good IT skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage a challenging and varied caseload with minimal direct supervision but support as required
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to provide practical and business-focused solutions to clients
  • Ability to effectively translate complex concepts into everyday language for clients
  • Strong active listening skills to accurately gauge the requirements of clients
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional client service
